She nodded slowly, and barely realizing it, moved a bit closer, her head just barely resting on his shoulder. She felt calm and secure.. something she hadnt felt in a long time.

She also felt her cheeks get quite a bit warmer, but she just continued to move with him, not saying anything

Kas finally chuckled just a little and very quietly. His hand moved around her to hold her lightly and he whispered.

"It's a'right love...dub be embaress'd..."

She still didnt say anything, just continued to move with him, her head nuzzling a bit under his chin.

She wasnt much embarassed of the other people anymore, but more of him, unsure of what to think, unsure what he was thinking..

He started to hum a little to the song and couldn't resist letting his hand slowly start to rub her back. His mind wasn't thinking on much of anything other than how good she smelled. His heart was fluttering a bit however.

After a few moments he started wondering if she was uncomfortable and looked down at her and whispered.

"Y'a'right Ridell...?"

Pulling her head back just enough to look at him, she nodded slowly, a very small smirk on her lips, but it almost seemed permanent.

Her head slowly rested back down onto his chest, her eyes closing again. Her arms seemed almost limp, gently gripping his shoulder and his hand, seeming quite relaxed

"Im fine.."

She said low

Kas studied her face, thinking it strange the way it looked but the smirk made him smile all the more. He took a few bold steps and started them moving in a small circle. The fire popped quietly almost in tune with the lute as other people in the tavern paired off and started dancing as well, no longer finding it all that funny to do so.

Several minutes passed, before she finally spoke again, her voice was very low and soft

"You still amaze me.. sticking around this long.."

She seemed to be quite tired, leaning on him, relaxing against him

Kas slowly rubbed her back and even closed his eyes, relaxing a little bit.

"Y'should be 'appy wit y'r life...'cause y'dun live fore'er y'know..."

Rid slowly pulled her head back to look at him, her eyes were almost unreadable, she was calm where she was, yet when he said those words, tears seemed to form in them

"Its hard to be happy when your life was taken away once.."

She looked down and sighed slightly, closing her eyes

Kas' hand slowly moved to her cheek and tilted her head up to look at him. He mustered the warmest grin he could possibly find and whispered.

"Y'can al'ays build a new one wit some'ne else..."

She felt her cheeks warm, just from his touch, let alone his words. She nodded a little, just looking at him, and whispered quietly

"Im scared to.."

Her eyes held something they never really had before. Fear.

As if it was his natural reaction to fear, Kas grinned a bit at her. His hand never left her cheek and somewhere in his mind he remarked how much it felt like they had always been this close. As if they had known each other for years and years.

"Y'took down tha brute...tha assas'n in BB...hell y'almost even kill'd me...y'survive'd 'ave'n yer 'eart broke once...y'can do't again...e'en though...y'may never 'ave t'worry bout it."

Her eyes slowly closed and she gently pressed her cheek to his hand. She wasnt sure what to think.. how to react..

She did what she felt she wanted to, and moved a bit closer, her eyes still closed, as she gently kissed him, her hand on his shoulder gently gripping her, her hand in his doing the same

Kas blinked one and slowly smiled behind the kiss. He felt that flutter in his heart and it made him close his eyes as he kissed her back. The taste of her kiss was like nothing he had ever tasted before...and caused feelings deep inside of him no one else had ever made him feel before.

His hands held her tighter and pulled her closer. A few others in the tavern smiled knowing smiles and watched the two for a moment before looking away either to drink or the person they were holding in dance.

Her hand from his shoulder slowly moved to his cheek, her finger tips dragging across it, before she slowly pulled back, her eyes opening, a small smirk on her lips.

She seemed much different then usual, calmed, relaxed, even close to him, and without reaching for a weapon of some sort.

She whispered in a quiet voice

"Thanks"
