"Do you recognize t-the symbols...?"

Kal was growing increasingly concerned over the dagger and Rema and moved a bit closer. He even slowly put his hand on her shoulder, but his eyes were still watching the dagger.

She slowly shook her head, just staring at the symbols, and slowly put it back on the ground and, as before, the symbols dissapeared.

She looked at him, unsure of what to think, was it a gift or dangerous?

"What do we do?"

Kal chewed on the corner of his mouth a bit, before looking around then back at the dagger. He stayed silent as he thought for awhile then pulled out one of his spare shirts.

"W-we wrap it up in this...a-and take it with us...w-where-ever we go next...."

He looked around the park for the hundredth time hoping he'd suddenly find a clue on where to go next.

"M-maybe...we should check the other places you and your mother made...? Or...maybe try the occult store...if it's still standing..."

"wait.."

She picked it up again, the symbols automatically appearing again from her touch, and she looked it over. She felt something within it.. some power. Standing, she looked at the symbol still smelling faintly of sulfur, and looked at the dagger, before stabbing it into the tree.

As if she had just hit an explosive, a huge wave of energy shot off from the tree, enough force to knock her back, but hanging onto the dagger, she didnt even feel the push.

Although she heard things.. voices.. whispers, that flooded the air, telling her to save them, telling her to run away, as if each voice was telling her to do the opposite of the last

Kal yelped again and would later be glad she pulled him away as he was too shocked and frozen in place to do it himself. He stumbled and stood next to her just watching the tree rot away to nothing and after a few long moments he sputtered.

"D-d-did t-t-that really j-j-just happen...?"

Looking down at the dagger in her hand, she said low

"It means we're on the right track.."

She suddenly turned, and began to run in the direction of her house, hiding the dagger under her shirt to not pull any attention to a teen girl running with a sharp knife

Kal blinked in that unsure manner then quickly tried to ran after her. He stumbled a few times before setting out at a run.

"R-rema wait!"

He yelled out as he tried to catch up with her to find out what was going on and where they were going.

As he finally caught up, Rema was in the living room, using the dagger, dragging the tip along certain spots in the floor

"Come on.. something.. anything.."

She muttered quietly

Kal coughed a bit and rubbed at his chest in a vane attempt to get his lungs to stop hurting...he saw what Rema was doing and coughed again.

"I-is that a g-good idea Rema?..w-what if things e-explode inside t-the house...?"

"It'll be a dead end otherwise Kal.. We need t-.."

Her voice was cut off, as in a flash, she was surrounded in a blue flame, and in the next instant, she was gone, the dagger on its side where she had just been holding it, and the only other sound were whispers, for only a few seconds, but the most audible sound, was a laugh, an evil one

Once again Kal screamed in surprise but his voice was quickly silenced at the sound of the laughter and his eyes slowly narrowed now in anger. All at once he was yelling.

"Y-you kill her sisters...you try to kill us...you threaten us..."

He balled his fists and his face contorted in anger.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM US?!"

~"Easy Kid! That's not gonna help ya one bit..."~

The man who had been in his basement with that had burst into the doorway and tossed what appeared to be a burlap sack over the dagger and grabbed Kal who was still just shouting away at whatever it was that had taken Rema.

He pulled Kal outside to the lawn and Kal fell to his knees...now just crying. Telken frowned a bit and looked back at the house.
