He watched her. Not just to see what she was doing or might tell him to do, but -really- watched her. He watched the way she moved, the way she spoke. Could she really be something else? Something dark and evil?

Her coughing made him jump slightly and he made a noise of concern as he watched her. He saw how easily she drank the vial and suddenly felt guilty for thinking she'd try to poison him. -If- she was a monster...she had more humanity than most of the drudge of their race.
He moved a bit closer, as if a few more walls of trust had been shattered.

Fight? He had really been hoping she had a better way in than that. He waved his hand to get her attention then pointed to her rapier, shrugging. He had on all he owned and hadn't used a sword or dagger in more years than he could remember, but some fire deep inside pushed him to see this deed to the end.

Followed where he pointed, and unsheathed one of her swords, then handed it to him

"Be careful with that.. Its one of my best"

As they went past the plaguelands and into the swamplands, she stood and looked him over, since there was proper light now

"We can jump when over the wall of the city, theres some water near the sewage system, and we can climb up. Hopefully sneak through and past the guards, Ive got a few tricks up my sleeve to distract them"

She patted a pouch on the other side of her belt from the vial

The look Mikal gave her was one he was sure she'd soon before. She was skilled certainly. She was also as insane as the man they were going to see. Still, he held her sword with the skill of a swordsman much younger than his appearance and with her word that it was her best, he held it a little more respectfully.

As he tried to figure out -how- he would survive the fall, she was looking him over. He was much older than most of the Sindorei one would see in Silvermoon. His hair was unkempt and grey, not the stylish silver so many preferred. He was old, that was clear from the wrinkles that broke the fairness of his skin. His eyes had a haunted look about them, as if they'd see ghosts everywhere no matter if they were truly there or not.

Those same eyes still regarded her with suspicion as to her sanity but he moved to the edge of the ship, looking below it. He then looked to her again, and slowly nodded his acceptance of the situation. Silently hoping Devon would even still be alive...

Rid was watching carefully over the lands they were passing, not saying another word. Soon they were over the cold lands near Ironforge, and she went into the bottom part of the ship to stay a bit more warm, saying quietly to him

"We'll be there soon.."

There was a look in her eyes as she looked away, almost despair, she wasnt sure if Devon would even lead her to Kastorin, she didnt even know if either was still alive, but she tried to keep some faith

Mikal followed her, looking lost despite the small ship. His eyes never stopped glancing at her. He tucked the borrowed sword into his worn belt and moved to stand beside her again. He watched the dwarven lands pass beneath him. There was something nagging at him and he wasn't sure how to ask her, but he decided he needed to know.

He tapped her shoulder to get her attention, then in his raspy broken voice said, "K-kass..t-tor...n..." then pointed to her heart and gave her a quizzical look.

Her gaze followed where he pointed, and she smiled slightly, the first bit of real emotion she had shown since she met him

"We're lovers.. He dissapeared several months ago and Ive been searching for him since then while dealing with other issues."

She sighed deeply, sitting down and rubbing her arms

"I miss him deeply.. Whatever has become of him.. Im willing to bring about my own end to find him if I must.. even just to see him again.."

Her eyes slowly closed, a few tears running down her cheeks and she muttered under her breath

"Im sorry.."

Lovers? So it was true then...she must be a monster like him. And Mikal was caught in the middle. Had his throat not been torn up to badly, he would of sighed. He sat down beside her and stared forward, lost in thought.

Part of him wanted to comfort her, and darkly he realized he would have wanted more from her if he did. Another part of him wanted to lay into her with her own blade. What that monster did to him....he could get revenge on him right now. But still he did not act.

He stared for what seemed like hours before shaking his head and looking at her. He stood and tapped her shoulder then pointed out the view space of the zeppelin. They were close to Stormwind.

Rid had been in her own world, staring at nothing and just thinking of everything that had happened between her and Kas. When he tapped her shoulder she jumped a little, and looked outside to see the forests of Elwynn. She quickly stood and went to the back of the balcony, looking down, she saw Eastvale, they were very close.

"Alright.. I decided not to tell you this until now. I want you to drink this liquid, it will make you invisible for a short time, and it hurts like hell, but also only for a short time."

She quickly handed him 1 of 2 vials that had a thick black goo in them

"Trust me.. you jump with me, if you dont, then just go on with the rest of your life and I'll do it on my own, but the backup would be quite useful.."

Soon they were over the wall of Stormwind, they only have about 20 seconds before they lost their chance and would have to go in the front gates.

"Bottoms up"

She winked at him, drinking the liquid and falling backwards off the zepplin, and went crashing into the water below

Mikal took the vial, his opinion of her sanity not improving in the least. He very much doubted it would work. Invisibility? Not likely... 10 seconds had gone by already and she was already in the water. Panic washed over him and he threw caution literally to the wind. The potion down he let out a silent scream of pain and fear as he fell down into the water below.

Watched as he fell, they had about 2 minutes to hide because the guards would of heard them fall. She swam over and grabbed his wrist, pulling him towards one of the now sealed sewers tunnels, but it would serve as cover.

She stumbled to her knees, fighting back coughs from accidently swallowing some water when she landed in it, and her hands dug into the dirt with her eyes closed tightly, knowing no one could see her, not even Mikal, but she was trying to show him where she was without speaking by disturbing the dirt a bit.

Slowly the guards nearby left, not finding what had made the noise, and she began coughing as they left, spitting out some water, as slowly she became visible as the potion wore off

"One step down.."

The old man didn't believe he had it in him, to kick and swim after her, guided by her invisible hand but soon he too was coughing up water painfully and kneeling in the dirt. He watched with fascination as his hands made imprints in the dirt but they just weren't there.

He gasped soundlessly as his hands slowly appeared in front of his eyes. He looked up to watch her become visible as well. The look on his face was of astonishment but soon came to concern as he looked back out the way they swam, unsure of how they'd get into the city and to the Stockades.

Her hands were shaking, but aside from that, every other bit of her masked any pain from the liquid she had drank. She reached into her pouch and pulled out several things, powders, small balls that seemed to have something inside, and two daggers, that she pulled from her boots and moved to her belt.

"Make sure to keep up.. we have to move fast."

She handed him several of the small balls, and to show him what they did, she tossed one against the wall, and it smashed, leaving behind a thick black residue

"That will blind someone if you throw it in their face for about 5 minutes, this.."

She handed him a pouch, inside was some black powder, and she took out just a pinch, tossing it near her feet, it flashed and she was consumed by smoke for several seconds

"Can serve as a distraction or escape route if we need it."

She took several deep breaths, she was nervous, she was so close yet so far.. She looked at Mikal

"Ready for this?"

Mikal on the other hand, was shaking quite obviously from the pain burning through his skin all over his body. Still he nodded and accepted the things he was given and shuffled them around in his hands and pockets. He made sure he'd be able to easily reach any of them should he need them. He took a steadying breath and looked up at her. He studied the determination in her face and it made his body stiffen a little with it's own determination. He nodded once. He was as ready as he could be.

"Good.. Because Im not, but theres not much I can do about that right?"

And with that, she rushed out quick as possible, running and jumping over the bit of water between her and the land that led up to Stormwind. Several guards were there, and when they saw her, they started pulling out their weapons, but with a small scream, and stabbed one of her daggers into a guards throat, throwing another at a guard across the bridge.

This struck fear into the other guards, exactly what she wanted, it would slow their movements even just a little.

She took out two of the small balls, and threw one into the faces of two guards ahead of her, each started stumbling around, yelling out in pain and rubbing their faces.

She ran past, no time to check if Mikal was following her. From guard to guard that got in her way, she either killed or blinded without mercy, there was no time for mercy in her mind.

The alliance that were in the city going about their normal lives all seemed shocked to see her run through. She had the element of surprise on her side, and thats all she needed to get past them.

Finally, she reached the stockades, and threw down a large amount of the powder that created smoke, and jumped into the water nearby, swimming under the nearby dock so no one could see her even if her head was above the surface of the water, as she tried to catch her breath, breathing hard from the run, hoping Mikal would be able to get to her alrite, or at least die a quick death

Mikal couldn't do much but run after her as swiftly as his rubbery legs could take him. Years spent out at sea had made him an excellent sprinter...on the dock of a ship that swayed back and forth. On dry flat land however...

He lagged behind but only by a few feet. Enough to get knocked down by one sneering denizen of Stormwind. Mikal looked up at him, an oversized dwarf laughing at the clumsy looking blood elf as he raised his axe to cleave off his head. He'd never cleave anyone with that axe again. Mikal's hand thrusted with Rid's rapier and the dwarf fell over backwards. Dead with blood pouring into his long beard.

Mikal pulled himself to his feet, everyone else around him stared in shock at the dwarf he so easily fell. Mikal used that moment to throw down one of the smoke orbs she had given him and he slipped into an alley. He had already lost Ridell but he knew where to go. Somehow he knew.

He snuck down the streets as guards rushed back and people shouted trying to find him. He crept along until he caught sight of a small movement under the docks just outside the Stockades. He made sure no one was looking at that moment and as quietly as he could, slipped into the water and swam voer to Ridell. Giving her just a nod in greeting.

Rid nodded back, then pointed at the large group of soldiers near the stockades because of their entrance, she moved close, whispering just beside his ear

"We'll wait until nightfall, until then.. follow me"

She took a deep breath, and went under the water, then began to swim off towards Old Town, knowing there was a safe spot there, or at least, a spot where rarely anyone was.

The older man, in body not years, studied the Stockades entrance and the heavily armed guards. Men. He never liked humans. They smelled terrible to him. It wasn't so bad on a ship where there was plenty of other horrible smells to endure, but in this city...

He nodded to her and swam after her, hoping his lungs would hold up to the abuse of air intake. The water stung his eyes and it too seemed to taste of the human stink, but he managed to follow after her.

Rid swam to under a bridge outside of Old town, surfacing to gasp for air, then looked around, no guards seemed to be there. She looked behind to see Mikal close behind, and when he got near her, she pointed towards old town, then began awkwardly climb the wall, and looked around, still clear. She waved him up, before moving to the nearby tunnel, staying close to the wall, waiting for him

"come on.. we have to move fast"

The old man scrambled up the wall and trips a bit as he crawled into the street. He looked around in a panic and caught her waving to him. He run with all his speed to the tunnel and pressed tightly up against the wall next to her, ready to follow her anywhere else.

As he got to her, she nodded, and crept slowly along the wall, looking around the corner, no one. Rushing around, she didnt take a second to think, and kicked the door down in an abandoned house nearby, and rushed inside, her daggers in hand incase anyone happened to be there.

Soon after, she heard Draenei laughter outside the house, and swore under her breath, looking back, not sure if Mikal could safely get to her.

She got 2 throwing darts ready, incase he couldnt, but she wasnt about to feel sorry for any alliance she had to kill

Mikal stayed behind, letting her get inside before he would follow, but as he turned the corner to run a group of three dreanei came up the street. He mad e a face of disgust and pressed back into the tunnel.

He brandished her rapier and took several deep panicked breaths. It had been two females and a male who apperently was very popular. Mikal hated the dreanei race, so close to demons they were. He knew they'd spot him as soon as they walked past or worse, into the tunnel. There was no helping it.

He palmed one of the flash bangs and tossed it out into the street, as soon as it went off he turned the corner and lunged at the dreanei male stabbing the goatly beast in the throat as he had the dwarf.

As soon as she saw the flash, she stepped outside the door, taking the best aim she could, as her throwing blades hit the 2 females in the back of neck, cutting off any screams they were about to have.

She quickly moved out, grabbing the 2 females by an arm each and dragged them into the house, again, with strength a blood elf of her size shouldnt have.

As she got inside, she turned to check if Mikal was bringing in the males

Mikal blinked as the females fell and Ridell carried them by herself into the house. He just started until the panic kicked him to move. He grasp the male dreanei and could barely lift the foul creature. His bulk wasn't as much as both of the females but still he could barely drag him inside. He made it into the house and fall back with the dead beasts head in his lap.

Mikal looked between Ridell and the females with a questioningly look.

Rid followed his gaze and walked to the door to close it, the borded up windows providing some stealth

"Trust me, what you've seen from me, doesnt even compare to what I can do.. or must do, to live"

She pulled up one of the female draeneis, who was still alive, still breathing, and she dragged her into the next room

"Stay here Mikal.. you dont want to see what I must do to live.."

She easily hauled the girl into the next room, pushing her against a wall to hold her up, then put her hand over her mouth to stop any screams that may surface, as Rid bit deeply at her neck, and began to feed

The old man crawled from under the fallen goatly beast and frowned a bit watching her drag the living female away. He stared at the doorway to the next room, daring his nightmares to give him a vision of what might be happening...but slowly he shook his head.

No, he didn't want to know. Couldn't know. Best not too. He dragged the bodies into the corner of the main room and moved to the windows peering out of them. No one had noticed anything or was around. He checked the door to make sure it could still be locked then just moved to the middle of the room and say down.

He looked over the long rapier, questioning yet again the choice he made to help her. Could he kill that real monster with this blade? What if the woman was as dangerous as the nightmare? Could he kill her with it too? He sighed and just closed his eyes.
