She felt her cheeks warm, just from his touch, let alone his words. She nodded a little, just looking at him, and whispered quietly

"Im scared to.."

Her eyes held something they never really had before. Fear.

As if it was his natural reaction to fear, Kas grinned a bit at her. His hand never left her cheek and somewhere in his mind he remarked how much it felt like they had always been this close. As if they had known each other for years and years.

"Y'took down tha brute...tha assas'n in BB...hell y'almost even kill'd me...y'survive'd 'ave'n yer 'eart broke once...y'can do't again...e'en though...y'may never 'ave t'worry bout it."

Her eyes slowly closed and she gently pressed her cheek to his hand. She wasnt sure what to think.. how to react..

She did what she felt she wanted to, and moved a bit closer, her eyes still closed, as she gently kissed him, her hand on his shoulder gently gripping her, her hand in his doing the same

Kas blinked one and slowly smiled behind the kiss. He felt that flutter in his heart and it made him close his eyes as he kissed her back. The taste of her kiss was like nothing he had ever tasted before...and caused feelings deep inside of him no one else had ever made him feel before.

His hands held her tighter and pulled her closer. A few others in the tavern smiled knowing smiles and watched the two for a moment before looking away either to drink or the person they were holding in dance.

Her hand from his shoulder slowly moved to his cheek, her finger tips dragging across it, before she slowly pulled back, her eyes opening, a small smirk on her lips.

She seemed much different then usual, calmed, relaxed, even close to him, and without reaching for a weapon of some sort.

She whispered in a quiet voice

"Thanks"

Without knowing, Kas' cheeks were quite a bit red as he slowly opened his eyes and took in Ridell as she was. He studied her for a moment before whispering.

"F'r wha...?"

She smirked a bit more, her fingers were still gently stroking his cheek, and her voice stayed very soft

"For sticking around.. not being terrified of me and such.."

Almost shyly she looked to the side, her hand resting on the back of his neck

Kas laughed a little bit and whispered to her.

"Oi love...y'got tha wrong...I've beent errified of'ya since I first conn'd ya onta m'boat...but I wasn't g'nna let tha stop me from stay'n alive...and act'n on m'instict..."

He smiled slowly and as close to lovingly as it had ever been.

Rid glanced at him, at that smile, and it made her blush, yet smile wider. She then glanced towards the door, and then nodded towards it

"Lets walk.. its a nice night out."

She slowly pulled away from him, letting go of him, only now realizing how cold it was away from him. as she walked to the door

Kas blinked but grinned a bit, he let himself be pulled after her and tried to stay close to her, also feeling how cold it was without her. A few people noted them leaving but they were too busy in their own seductions or booze to care much.

Rid walked towards the docks, and jumped down to the grass, walking along the water instead, going just a bit faster then him.

She then turned to look at him, still just smirking. It was a bit windy, as she pushed some loose strands of hair behind her ear and walked backwards, just watching him

Kas was thinking about how strange she was acting. Well not strange exactly, he told himself, just so different. She seemed so much younger than a few hours ago when they were yelling at each other.

He blinked slowly and pretended not to be watching her as much as she was him, but out of the corner of his eye he was studying the way her hair moved while she walked and how watched him.

Rid felt that guilt in her stomach, that little bit of it from thinking about her former love, but she shook it off, he was gone, she needed to move on..

After a few more minutes, she just stopped walking, waiting for him to catch up completely. The moon shone brightly, the wind making the clouds cover it from time to time.

Kas walked forward until he was standing close enough to her he could smell her, even thought it was rather hard to smell, he could still make out the feint scent of alchemic chemicals...but for some reason it didn't smell back to him. Slowly he turned his head to look at her smile.

He had nothing to say...the sight he saw was breathtaking to him and he just stared at her as she seemed to glow in the moonlight.

Rid slowly turned away, turning towards the water, and sat down. It splashed just a bit against her legs, but she didnt seem to mind.

Her eyes slowly closed, listening to the water. This had been the first chance she had to relax in a long time, the first time she felt like she was. Was she falling for him? Or had she already, she thought to herself.

Kas watched her for a few moments before walks over and sitting down next to her. He drew his knees up to his chest and he leaned back on his hands so his head could lazily ease back and watch the stars twinkle up in the sky. He was thinking how odd it was that he hadn't had anything to say to her yet and when he tried his voice was so soft she could have not heard him at all.

"Y'eva...wonder if there's more ta tha world....? Ta the universe even...?"
