The liquid just made Rid feel a bit sick, and she wouldnt know for a while if it actually worked.

She then heard laughing, inside her own mind, Janine.

-"Youll never find the antidote without my help"-

"Then I'll die.. and you along with me.."

She pushed the voice back with a small growl

Kas swam back to the shore and laid out on the sand. He slipped his hands behind his head and stared up at the fresh sky. He watched clouds float by, as if there was nothing wrong in the world. But once his eyes closed, everything was back again. The pains, the sorrow. Everything.

He sighed and opened them again. He was helpless to help Ridell, but there had to be something...anything he could do...

Rid slowly stood, her head swimming a bit, but she tried to shake it off, rubbing her eyes, before walking outside, and seeing Kas in the sand, and smirked a little, walking over to him, but she stealthed and went into the water, suddenly flinging a large cupped handful at him, before she slowly showed herself, and winked at him

"Cheer up"

Kas jumped up and shivered looking around then grinned slowly at her as she appeared.

"The 'ell y'do'n love...be'n all sneaky and lovely like that..."

Rid smirked at him, and slowly backed out more into the water, beckoning him over

"Making up for lost time"

She said with a wink, and fell backwards into the water so that she could get everything wet and the water wouldnt seem so cold

Kas couldn't help but laugh a bit and he got up. He walked into the water and shivered slightly before his body got adjusted again and swam out to where she was, grinning a bit as he watched her dive.

Rid came back up, wiping her wet hair and the water from her eyes, and smirked at him as he got closer

"Its been awhile since ive been swimming.."

She said, trying to get used to the movements she needed to stay above the surface

"Used to a boat"

Kas laughed again and grinned at her.

"Ne'er e'er though I'd 'ear y'say tha...still can believe ya 'ad y'r own ship...tha's bloody crazy..."

He teasingly splashed up some water at her and grinned.

"spose I oughta call ya cap'n now!"

His grin turned playful.

Rid giggled, and splashed some water back

"Aye!"

She then went under the water, and swam towards him, until she was right in front of him and came back up to the surface, and stole a small kiss

Kas slipped his arms around her, as soon as she did and kissed her back. It was the kiss he had been longing for for what seemed like years. Her lips with her behind them. There was more passion and love in that small kiss than there ever could be if it was Janine behind it. It made him smile and almost stop breathing. He even started sinking into the water, just a little as he exhaled but held on to her anyway.

Rid smiled as her hands rested on his shoulders, her thumbs gently rubbing his neck. She could feel the sun make her skin tingle but nothing painful.

She whispered beneath her breath

"I missed you so badly.. I refused to give up on finding you.."

"Tha must be why I dinna die..."

His legs kicked lazily in the water to keep them afloat as his hands held her waist gently and he looked deeply into her eyes.

"So many times I thought I was gunna...but I j'st...'ad hope y'would come...e'en when I dinna know wha I was hope'n for anymore..."

She nodded gently, slowly, and then kissed him again, this time holding it.

Her arms slowly wrapped around the back of his neck, to keep him close, she didnt want to stop kissing him, she had so long where she couldnt, feeling a chill run down her spine

Kas' eyes closed slowly as their lips met again. He kissed her back passionately under the rising sun and he didn't dare let her go. Not now, not ever. What he had been through was terrible...but at least he had forgotten for awhile...but not her...somewhere deep inside he felt guilty for it.

For not being there with her to help her endure...to stop Janine...to save their family. But now that he had her, and she him, he was never going to let them be apart again.

Rids arms hugged him closer as she slowly deepened the kiss, her hands resting on his shoulders as her whole body pressed a bit closer, the water making her shiver, but also his lips.

After several very long moments, she slowly pulled back, smirking softly at him

Kas took in a deep breath as she pulled her lips away, and let out a small happy sigh as he opened his eyes and looked at her.

"s'too bad we 'afta breath...could kiss ya fore'er..."

Rid nodded slowly

"We should live in the water, get gills.. "

She winked, and suddenly let him go so she could fall backwards and go under the water, moving quickly and smoothly under the water, obviously from her training as an assassin

He blinked and then she was gone. He laughed a bit and started swimming after her. He wasn't nearly as graceful as she was but seemed to know how to swim through the water rather well. He thought it ironic that quite a few men spent their lives on a boat, yet never learned how to swim.

Rid quickly turned, suddenly swimming back towards him, her hands back to his shoulders, as she kissed him suddenly as they were under the water, a slight grin on her lips.

She felt like she was just a kid in love, butterflies in her stomach, such passion in a kiss..

Kas laughed quietly in his mind as she turned on him and they kissed again. He was feeling carefree at the moment and just lost in his love for her and in the moment of peace. They rarely had such moments, but when they did, he reveled in them.

Rid suddenly had a voice break through in her mind, as she felt a sudden pain, a blinding pain, in her stomach, as if she had been stabbed. She broke the kiss suddenly, gripping at her stomach and looking down, there was no need for any pain.

She kicked back to the surface, gasping for breath as her eyes closed tightly.

Was it the potion? No.. it shouldnt be having those kinds of side effects she thought..

Kas kicked after confused and worried and broke the surface. His arms stretched out and held up up to keep her above the water.

"Love! What 'appened? Are y'alright?"

He looked a bit panicked as he held her and looked at her face worriedly.

Rid leaned against him, her body shaking with pain as she muttered

"G-G-Good.. as could.. b-be.."

She took in short breaths in a panic, realizing she was still holding her breath basically even above the water, as she blinked away tears of pain

"W-Will..be fine.."

*Kas kept one arm around her and swam back to shore, pulling her up onto the beach and kneels down besides her. He looked over her body looking for any sign of something that attacked or was hurting her. He ended up looking to her face.

"Love...'ow can I 'elp? Wha do I do?"

Rid looked up at him, her eyes just fluttering open, and she grabbed his hand.

"I.. d-dont know whats wrong"

She reached up her other hand, it being very shaky, and she watched it

"C-Cant.. be janine.."
