Eternal Love

Telken nodded as she left the house and he moved over to the crib. His cobalt eyes looked down at their daughter and he found that warm smile on his face again. In truth he didn't know who. Maybe Durion, despite the changes...No, Telken wouldn't ask Durion to help unless they had no choice.

"Mish..."


Tyndar was sitting with her tail coiled watching the dark clouds coming in. Her ears were lowered as if she was ready to fight the storm to protect her family, but as Kase's voice drifted over to her, the prospect of warmth and being dry was much too pleasant to pass up.

The great cat lifted her bulk and padded over to Kase. Her big head nuzzled up against the night elf almost knocking her over.

Kasengae stumbled back against the wall a bit, seeming to be thrown more than she should have by the cat, looking at her hands, which were much paler then her skin used to be. She looked to Tyndar and smiled softly, leading her into the small hallway, hoping the cat wouldnt get stuck, and closed the door to stop the rain from coming in.

Soon after, she went down as well, smiling more at seeing Telken looking down at Misha.

"Shes very strong.."

Tilting her head,Tyndar watched as Kase was pushed so easily. Her predatory eye studying the woman only for a moment before moving inside. She swiftly made her way into the house, some mysterious feline squeezing magic pushed her through the hall and she was soon curled up, purring contently by the small fire.

Studying his daughter's tiny hands as they grasped her small blanket, Telken smiled thoughtfully. His head turned to the sound of his love's voice. He quietly made his way over to her, taking her hands up in his almost immediately.

"Tell me love...has she shown any magical ability? Connection to animals like a hunter or...any thing odd for a little girl?"

blinked in surprise at him, before looking at Misha

"Well.. The most Ive seen is her trying to chase a cat.."

A small smile creeps over her lips

"But.. nothing so far. Unfortunatly she hasnt had much time to try such things.."

Kase squeezed his hands, hers being slightly weak

He grinned at the thought of the lil one chasing a cat around. He nodded and looked down to her hands. Whatever he was thinking was lost as he studied them. His voice was almost a nervous whisper.

"Has the demon been draining you, love?"

He slowly looked up into her eyes, his own filled with worry he wished he could hide.

Looked down as he asked, then back over towards Misha, still squeezing his hands tightly as she could

"No.. But Dari had tried.."

Tears came to her eyes as a sudden crack of thunder woke up Misha and she started crying, as Kase quickly let go of his hands and moved up, picking her up and rocking her slowly, even though tears were still in her own eyes

Darissar... Telken hadn't admitted it to anyone, but he had thought quite a bit on the man. The demon has used Gabane to return and he knew it had returned to Darissar, or at least was able to use him. Telken's lips turned into a frown as he watched Kase try to soothe Misha.

There had to be a way to stop the demon. He stared intently on their child as she cried a little less in her mother's arms. Tyndar raised her head and make a snort towards Telken. A simple noise but enough that Telken glanced at her. The feline's head motioned towards not the baby but Kase. Telk coudln't help but smile, knowing she was trying to alert him to Kase's condition.

He flexed his right hand where the mark was a comfort to him. He walked over and opened his arms to Kase.

"Let me...rest...Tyndar makes a very good pillow to rest against..."

Kase looked to Telken, then Tyndar, and nodded slowly, handing Misha to him, looking exhausted as she walked over to the large saber, sitting down slowly beside her, watching Telken still

"She doesnt like storms because in the last one we had.. Dari came.."

She turned on her side, her skinniness now more visible through her loose gown as she leaned on Tyndar tiredly

"He went for her.. but I wouldnt let him touch her.."

Her voice began to trail off as she spoke

"Dari.. where did I go wrong.."

The feline lovingly curled more gently than most people would think her capable of and cradled Kase as she would her own cub. Telk bounced Misha just a little and whispered something quietly to her. whatever it was, she cried just a little less and clung to her father's robes.

His face however showed deep concern as he looked to Kase and moved to sit on the floor in front of her. Misha, despite her crying, looked at her mother for a moment before burying her scared face into Telk's chest.

"You didn't go wrong Love...Darissar wouldn't have survived as long as he has without the strength you've given him...as you've done with me...and her..."

He smiled faintly at his love before looking down to the scared child.

Kase nodded slowly, as she began to doze off, until suddenly another loud crack of thunder, but soon after there was a crash as their door flung open and slammed against the stone. Kase jumped to her feet within seconds, in front of Misha and Telken, grabbing a sword that was on the table, and she scowled

"Who's there!"

Her heart was pounding as she looked at the open door, watching rain running down the small ramp, and went up slowly, looking around, and realized it was just the wind from the storm that had opened it. Her pale hand closed the door, and she just leaned on it with a deep sigh

Kase walked down, tossing the blade onto the table again, and sat down beside him, leaning more on him then Tyndar, to stay close to Misha as well, her eyes closing again. She whispered near his ear

"Im not sure whats happening to me Telken.."

She held up her shaky hand, that should be steady as any other elven hand.

"Im glad you came back.. incase it gets worse.."

Telk finished his quiet song, and with her mother now close to her again, Misha quickly fell asleep again. Telken closed his eyes to rest his head against hers, just for a moment as she leaned close to whisper to him. His eyes then opened again to look at her hand, his own swiftly moved up to take hers. His voice was pale to the storm's.

"I will not leave again..."

He looked to her worriedly.

"We'll be together..no matter what happens...our family...is strong..."

Nodding slowly, she nuzzled her head to his shoulder, squeezing his hand

"We are.."

Her other hand moved to Misha, slowly stroking her cheek

"I just want her to be safe Telk.. Why cant it just be that simple.."

Telk rested his head on hers as he watched Misha smile at her mother's caress.

"I've been to so many worlds... and...do you know the truth?"

He lowered his voice to a soft whisper.

"The worlds that were paradise...that were simple and easy...they were...insubstantial... everyone so happy but also so...empty..."

He squeezes her hand a little tighter.

"Remember what I told you once? Everything will be alright in the end, if it's not alright...it's not the end...when our end comes, my love...we'll have lived our lives well...in sadness and in happiness...but we'll have -lived-..."

He turns his head to kiss her ear gently.

"Times are hard now...and times will be hard again...but at least we'll be a family..."

She leaned more against him, closing her eyes tighter

"Youre right.."

Her hand moved from Misha, to pat Tyndars head slowly, and she heard the lightning calming some, but could still hear the rain

"I just want to be with us for a while.. Its safe here for the time being."

Her voice went lower

"and I need to rest"

A calming purr emitted low in the feline's throat trying to relax Kase. Telken smiled quietly and slipped his free arm around Kase. His voice was a whisper.

"Sleep, my love...I will watch over our family while you do...and should I slack...may the murlocs get me..."

He smiled just a little bit more.

Kase smiled softly as she giggled, before nuzzling his shoulder, her hand now just resting on Tyndars head.

"thank you my love.."

She squeezed his hand, before she slowly fell asleep, the rain outside still loud on the house, but they stayed quite dry

Darissar walked through the wetlands outside of Menethil, looking exhausted, but the demon pushed him to keep moving, keep walking and hunting for the woman who betrayed him, his own mother. His mind was long lost, he followed as he was ordered.

Just a few hours into her sleep, Kase already began to stir, muttering under her breath in elvish inaudible words.

She was seeing part of what her son was seeing, the demon was trying to figure out where she was, he was coming. She woke up with a start, gasping and sweating, breathing heavily even

Telken had fallen asleep not long after Kase had. He slept peacefully, more peacefully then he had in many months, mostly because he was with his family. So it was that when Kase awoke it took him sometime to wake himself and realize where he was and that something was wrong. His voice was a sleepy mumble.

"L-love?..wasisit?"

Kase was squeezing his hand tightly, whispering

"Shh.. Its o-okay.. just a bad dream.."

She kissed his cheek gently, still speaking softly

"Just go back to sleep.."

Her eyes closed, but she was far from sleep, the images running over and over in her mind, he was getting closer and she knew, she could only hope he wouldnt find them in their home

Telken sleepily watches his love's face and slowly squeezed her hand back, but he was waking up not and saw the look in her wary face. He lay his head back down but his eyes were drawn to the small passage that led up to the door.

"Dreams fade...n'time..."

He whispered to her. Tyndar never stirred, to happy and devoted to her 'cubs' to dare move. Little Misha stirred and reached out with her tiny hands to grasp their hands and pull them to her tiny chest.
