One hot week in the jungle

Kas stopped at the sound of the voice and swiftly put a fist in the air and made a few hand gestures. The others in the shadows did nothing to acknowledge the order but proceeded to do as they were told. Kas however, moved up behind Ridell and looked over Ka'paj and raised his eyebrow.

"I ain overly impress'd...let's j'st kill this guy, stock'p on tha gold and go take a vacat'n on a beach somewhere ya?"

The man laughed coldly, obviously with a toned physique, his daggers hanging off his belt as rid does with hers. He just grinned widely at them

-"come then.. "-

She didnt move, she looked around, trying to find any sign of a booby trap, but saw nothing, then looked at Kas, unsure of what to do

Kas looked around himself, though seemingly at nothing. After a few close scrutinies of things that would hardly be booby trapped he yawned and look over at the man.

"Nah...y'come 'ere. Or Rid if'n'ya think y'can pick'm off from here with a dagger, go f'r it. Methinks he's too weak t'actually fight'ya love."

He stretched his arms out and shrugged looking at her. If he had a plan he didn't seem like it.

The man walked over to them, his eyes glowing the faint green as most Sin'Dorei. He slowly pulled out his daggers, and Rid held hers up, ready to fight him. She jumped as the door slammed shut behind them, and he walked up towards them faster, and with speed even faster then Rid, slashed at her, as she jumped back, it grazing her arm but she didnt flinch.

He laughed and shook his head

-"Told ya you never should of left.."-

He looked at Kas, and grinned a bit

-"So what are you doing with the girl?"-

Though Kas jumped a bit when the door closed, he seemed completely bored. He yawned again as he looked at Ka'paj.

"Hrm? Do'n? Bout t'watch'r cut ya to ribbons I 'spect. Y'sure are quick though."

He tilted his head left and right looking at the man's head.

"Y'r head's a bit small though...so I'm think'n quick but not brigh. No m'Rid on tha other hand...quick...smart...sexy as 'ell...I can see why you'd want'r t'stay with'ya...'coruse y'prolly d'nno wha t'do with a women..."

The man looked at Rid and then laughed a bit

-"I do like him, hes an interesting one"-

Rid took a deep breath, and stepped forward, very slowly, trying to see if she would set off a trap. Nothing happened after the first few steps, and she was already in front of him. He grinned widely

-"Im not going to trick you girl.. With you its personal.."-

In less then a second, he thrust his hand out, but Rid was just fast enough, she dove to the side, a white cloud of powder slowly dispersing into nothing, he had tried to blind her temporarily.

"No tricks huh?"

Kas rubbed the back of his head. When Ka'Paj wasn't looking at him, Kas had a bit of worry in his face. The others watched from their hiding places but did nothing until Kas told them to.

"Yeesh...'e's thick an a liar...y'sure pick'd a wonderf'l teacher there Rid..."

He tried to goad the man into anger but he seemed not to notice.

Rid straightened up, holding out her daggers, her eyes narrowed. She focused her sights on his face, his hands, she knew to never look away no matter what, definetly with the man who taught her that.

He chuckled

-"Good girl.. You've gotten better.."-

He walked towards her, each step heavy as he seemed to bounce in each one, excited for even a small challenge. He didnt pull out his weapons, as he swung his fist at her, but she stepped back, and continued as he kept swinging at her, ducking when she had to, until she was backed into a wall.

She swung both daggers towards his chest, but he caught both her wrists with ease, and twisted them outwards so hard she screamed a bit and was forced to drop the daggers in the shock of the pain

-"Not good enough though.."-

Hearing her scream had urged Kas to pull out a throwing dagger of his own. He tried to let her have her chance and not interfere but the scream echoed in his mind like the worst sound in the world. With a slight growl, more at the feelings in his heart then anything, he sent the dagger flying towards the back of the man's neck.

"'Ey ugly!"

The man looked over his shoulder, and ducked to the side, pulling Rid with him. He laughed and turned, swinging Rid with him and then finally let her go, as she slammed into the nearby wall with such force she heard a crack from the stone behind her, as she slid to the ground, trying to catch her breath from the air being knocked from her.

He turned to Kas, and began to walk towards him

-"Your turn.."-

Kas grinned and slowly shook his head.

"Na...I j'st took mine...it's their turn now."

He flicked a finger in a certain motion and the 3 hidden members of his crew appears from the shadows. The night elf elegantly threw a set of daggers at the man, while the undead woman attempted to slash at his ankles. The goblin however was going for the man's feet with daggers so tiny they could be butter knives.

They all had frozen as soon as he vanished and waited. Then they all jumped and turned towards Ridell and the man. At her wink they looked at Kas who tried his best not to smirk and slowly walked up to the front of the group and put his hands up.

"A'right, take't easy there big fella...aint none of us want'n'r dead now..."

The man just smiled widely, pressing the dagger more to her neck, and she closed her eyes tightly, but still didnt move

-"All of you, get out"-

She took a deep breath, had to time it right.. as she shoved his arm away and turned, grabbing his wrist, twisting it.. until it snapped, and he screamed out in pain.

Kas grinned from ear to ear. The night elf shifted uncomfortably and the undead girl seemed not impressed. The goblin however giggled madly and clapped his hands. Kas yelled out.

"'ey Mister, y'still wan us t'leave? Cause this is a riot!"

Rid twisted his arm harder as he screamed again in pain. Rid wasnt showing him mercy.. not him..

She pulled his own dagger from his belt, and held it to the back of his neck

"This is what you get for going after my friends.."

She had him.. she could kill him.. but she didnt, she was hesitant

Kas' grin slowly faded. He saw the look in her eyes and took a slow step forward.

"You've beat'n'im love...by now 'alf 'is gold is on it's way t'me ship...every'ne knows 'is hideout...'is failure..."

He slowly crossed his arms and looked at the woman he had realized, he had truly come to love.

"Let'im live...t'tell others na to muck with'ya...cause ain no one who can stop'ya..."

Rid had so many thoughts flying through her head, of killing this man, finally ending it, he had caused her so much trouble.

Her hand shook slightly, he felt it, he grinned

-"Kill me girl.."-

Her eyes slowly closed, before slowly pulled away the dagger and stepping back

"If I ever see you again.. Im going to kill you.."

She walked over towards Kas, and heard the shuffle behind her, the man dove at her, and she turned, throwing the dagger so it stuck into his left ankle and he stumbled and fell to the ground in pain.

She felt her neck, a bit of blood had dripped down from the wound he had caused, but nothing major.

She looked at Kas finally, slowly nodding her head

Kas smiled at her brightly. It wasn't his usual grin but a proud and respected smile. He even went as far as resting his hand on her shoulder.

"Nice job lass."

He looked to Ka'paj on the ground thoughtfully for a moment.

"Still. "e's a right git innit he?"

Kas walked over to the man, drew out his own dagger which looked vaguely like it didn't belong anywhere near a human city, undead or otherwise. He put the dagger to the man's throat and whispered to him.

"I ne'er said I was a good pers'n. Ass."

He slit the man's throat and stood up again and grinned but it had a tint of bloodthirsty-ness in it.

"Righ then. Off we go?"

Rid grinned slightly at Kas as he walked back towards them

"Took my fun did you?"

She winked and walked out the nearby door, looking around the room, until she set her eye on something that had not been taken yet, a necklace, a golden one with a large ruby on it. She picked it up and clasped it around her neck.

"This is special.."

Kas shrugged and whipped the blood off his dagger on his pant leg and sheathed it. The others fell behind him as he followed her into the next room where various people were looting and pillaging the treasure hold.

"Rather we know 'e's dead than lurk'n behind every corn'r...wassat?"

He motioned to the necklace.

Rid ran her fingers along the ruby, before looking up at him

"Was my mothers.. "

She tucked it under her shirt before sighing and looking around

"We should get going.. "

That smile tugged on Kas' lips again but he turned it into a grin and looked out over everyone.

"A'right y'lot. Get the last of what we're take'n stow'd and get Rid's share seperat'd. We're head'n of ta....ta..."

He looked at Ridell and blinked.

"Where are w'go'n?"

"Uhm.."

She thought for a few moments, before shrugging

"I.. dont know?"

She heard something down the sewers, and groaned. She heard the grunts of the abomination guards

"Lets just get out of here fast"

"Righ!"

Kas grabbed Ridell's hand and took off like a bolt of lightening. Everyone else paused then heard the lumbering and squishy noise of the fleshy feet of abominations and made a break for it. They all fled into various tunnels and passaged and Kas pulled Ridell into one...

Which abruptly turned into a blocked off wall. He pressed himself and her back into the small alcove as one of the guards lumbered closer and closer.
