Oceans of blue

Kelterra closed her eyes, simply smiling. She gracefully knelt to let the snake slither down her arm and almost instantly disappear into the grass, before she stood again and walked closer to Ridell until their bodies almost touched.

Kas growled quietly as a shift in Kelterra's stance made him long to go to her side...but the ring in his hand was important. It told him not too...he clawed at the grass and moved to the side so he could look at them both. The war inside of him waging further still.

Rid eyed her up and down

"If she didnt have these powers in this first place, we wouldnt be here at this damned island."

Rid felt a sudden lurch in her stomach and she quickly backed up, a hand gripping it tightly. That familiar pain she had from whatever had poisoned her, it was coming back with a vengeance.

Her eyes closed tightly, as she tried to take a few deep breaths, trying to push it aside, she didnt want this pain now, she had too much to fix

Kelterra laughed, the sound was soft and almost gentle as she watched Ridell. Her smile was slow and wide as she reached up to touch Ridell's cheek.

Her head suddenly lurched to one side and she stumbled back. her eyes grew wide as their color shifted from red to yellow to green again. She clawed at her head and fell to her knees. Fighting against something none of them could guess at.

Kas looked up and knew what was happening to Kelterra. He had seen it before...like she changed and became someone else...someone kind to him that did not hurt him...but his real concern was on Ridell...who he just knew she was in pain...something...from before...a poison...he whimpered loudly and moved a little closer to Ridell almost pawning a little at her leg.

Mikal suddenly felt his mind become his again and he held his head trying to clear it. He looked to Ridell and saw her flinch slightly and the actions of The Nightmare...and the strange woman he didn't remember seeing as she fell to her knees in obvious pain.

Rid looked at Kel fell to her knees, but felt Kas, and looked at him, slowly moving down to her knees. Her already pale skin seemed to pale just a little more.

Her hand moved to Kels, grabbing it

"Come.. on Kel.. Youre tougher then this.."

She needed to buy some time, even just a couple minutes, she had to make a potion, the pain was getting worse, it was spreading to her chest, her lungs suddenly having a hard time.

Kas seemed to just crouch at Ridell's side and watch worriedly over her, with frightened glances to the woman on the ground. Kelterra shudders and whimpered and soon fell silent. The black snake seemed to slither out of the grass and hiss angrily at her, her voice slowly whispering weakly.

="L-leave....m-mistress..t-take t-them...a-and leave..."=

Mikal just looked between them lost and confused and inched slowly away from Kas not caring that he seemed less aggressive and murderous now but still so afraid of him.

Rid shook her head a little, knowing if they just left, they would be followed, and it would never end.

She opened her mouth to speak, but then she heard laughing from nearby, as slowly darkness seemed to wrap around them even more, making it so slowly, they couldnt even see eachother.

Her hand reached out for Kas' hand, and she held onto Jans tighter, yelling out

"Mikal! get over here!"

Mikal looked around at the darkness and stumbled away from it, almost tripping over Ridell but he knelt low and put his hand on her back to let her know he was there. He watched as the unknown woman grasped Rid's hand tightly and whimpered in pain.

Kas's hand slowly took Ridell's with a curious mewl but as he looked up he felt more than saw the darkness surrounding them and his heart sank. For a moment the beast won and panic almost made him strike out at everything around him, before the man inside took a little more control and pressed closer to Ridell, her hand found hiss and he almost immediately calmed and glared out at the darkness.

="Sshe's...here..."=

Kelterra whimpered as waves of pains and other feelings trembled her body. She curled around Ridell's hand and knew she was going to be punished for failing at such an important moment. Still, her mind found time to be worried over Ridell, having saw the old potion starting to weaken and harm her again.

The darkness around them began to whisper into their minds, each person seperate, telling them the doubts in their mind. Telling Kel she was worthless, telling Mikal hes a fool for even thinking of coming back, Telling Rid everything was in vain, and Telling Kas that he was just a pet, nothing more.

Her hand gripped Kas's so much tighter at the voices, and she yelled out

"Enough!"

The darkness suddenly dissapeared, and sitting on a nearby pile of skulls was Jan, just grinning coldly at them all.

She was dressed up as if for a dance, a long black flowing dress, her hair tied back loosely and curly

-"What a fine day to see you all again!"-

She said, looking up at the sky as if the sun was shining

-"I now have everyone in the same place who could stop me from my plans.. Next step.. Is to take care of you all..personally.."-

Jan grinned at Kel, before just looking back at Rid a few moments after

-"Its funny.. isnt it? How all of this came into play? Here we are! At the moment that could make or break your lives! .. Or neck, depending on what mood Im in"-

She laughed, and stood soon after, walking over to them. Each step she took, Rid felt the pain get worse, and she gripped harder at her stomach, but fought not to fall, she refused to bow to her

-"Poor.. Poor Ridell.. You've lost so much because of me"-

She growled beneath her breath

"dont start.."

Janine, obviously unafraid of Kas or Mikal, moved right in front of Rid, kneeling down to be at eye level

-"You've lost your true love.. You've lost the will to live.. I can see it in your eyes.. but Im sure that only came a couple months ago.."-

"Shut.. up.."

Tears were in her eyes, as she growled lower

-"He wasnt even born.. Why are you so said he died.."-

With a sudden lash out, a throwing star was sent to the snake, cutting off its head, as she growled and rushed forward, pinning Janine to the ground

"I swear I will kill you.."

Janine simply grinned up at her, shaking her head slowly

-"You cannot kill me here no matter how hard you try.."-

Rid wasnt even paying attention to Kel, She was so furious at Janine bringing up what had happened

Kas snarled and moved next to the women. He knelt looking at them, just as torn what to do as his mind was, but two words seemed to control him at that moment. Ridell. Baby. Those words both made him wish to cry...and to tear into something. He made a small snarl but it was more a name.

"Rrrr'd'll...."

Kelterra fought voices in her mind as well. She was never sure if the snake itself entered her mind and took her over, or if it was just another voice from the curse they all shared. But it tempted and called to her. Promised her power, promised her control...but the thing that always made her slip...was the reliving the night she was turned...with Ridell...and sharing her love again...

The skin along her body slowly raised in patterns of snake scales...her tongue painfully pulled apart and became forked. Her legs seemed to get slimmer and parts inside of her changed and moved. She panted deeply until it was finally done and she lay in the grass not far from Ridell and Janine...the two women she wanted...

Mikal stepped back...what could he possibly do? He watched Ridell move with such speed and anger is scared him. The snake had no time to react and the girl on the ground seemed to be changing back to what the shadow turned into...it was all too much for him...his eyes rolled back in his head and he passed out.

Rid looked at Kel, watched as she changed, her eyes narrowed, slightly confused, but soon after, they were back on Jan

"I will find a way.."

-"Well. Until then.."-

Rid suddenly went flying several yards before coming to a rolling stop, coughing as she had been hit in her stomach, the air knocked out of her for several moments.

Jan stood, and looked at Kas, laughing at Mikal who had fainted

-"Kas.. I order you to kill her"-

Kas yelped and jumped back as Ridell went flying. The man wanting to run to her and catch her, the beast however only allowed him to take a few steps towards her. Then the order came. The beast surprised Kas with it's ferocity as he leapt down on top of Ridell and his hands went to her throat with a snarl.

The ring never left his hand. It was the strongest point for the man. The chain was wrapped around his fingers by then so it hung at the nape of Ridell's neck, and with the beast snarling and growling down at her, it was the reason the grip on her throat was barely a grip at all. His fingers were barely on her skin as the drool for his muzzle dripped down on her.

Kelterra finally and slowly stood. She panted a little still but turned it into a delightful moan as she stretched her taller and skinner body. She saw the snake without it's head and it caused her to frown as she recalled many fond embraces by it. Still it didn't bother her much as she slinked her way to stand next to Janine again, slowly draping her arms around her shoulders and quietly hissing in her ear.

Janine's eyes closed as they kissed Kel back, her hands moving along her back, suddenly being lost in the kiss, unable to pay attention to anything else. She felt so victorious to have everyone there, and knew it would all be over soon

Rid slowly rolled over so Kas was laying in the grass, and she looked down at him, her hand slowly moving along his cheek, before whispering

"I love you Kas.."

She felt tears in her eyes again, wishing that the day she saw him again would have been the best day of her life, yet here they were, and she felt such pain from it.

She took her chance, to take a few moments, leaning her head down on to his chest, hearing his heart beat, and it gave her a little more calmness, before she stood and looked at the two women who were embraced in a kiss. She growled and began walking over to them, blood on her lips, dripping down her chin

Kas' heartbeat was weak, but it stopped growing so. It beat steadily in his chest and as she moved away his body trembled. He too was changing and turned weakly to lay dace down in the grass without making a sound.

Kelterra's forked tongue flicked across Jan's lips as she pulled back from the kiss. A sly smile coming across her own from the taste of her, but there was a scent on the air..of familiar blood. Kelterra turned and grinned wickedly at Ridell as she walked over.

~="Ssso...killed him did you..."=~

The scent of blood on her tongue made her shiver and press a little closer to Janine.

Rid growled louder and louder the closer she got, and swung her fist at Kel's face, but Janine was quicker, blocking the hit with her hand. She grinned as she held Rid's shaky fist

-"Tell you what Ridell.. If you finish him off.. I'll spare you"-

"If he dies.. I die.."

She grinned wider

-"How about the other way around.."-

She felt the grass around her feet, suddenly root her in place as they wrapped around. She struggled to move, until Jan slammed her fist into Rid's stomach, which made her cough, then fall to her knees, coughing out blood from the force

-"Weak.. poor.. Rid.."-

Kelterra laughed with hisses in each sound, this side of her delighting in Ridell's pain, but her eyes were that of a snake's...and very bad at sight. Otherwise she would have noticed Kas was no longer where he was laying. In fact he seemed gone altogether. So too was Mikal it seemed. It was just the three of them now, surrounded by darkness and Kelterra hissed out quietly.

Kelterra watched with a seductive grin. She'd have Ridell for her own soon. They would finally be able to explore each other and lo-THUD

Something hard smashed into the back of Kelterra's head. Had it not had unnatural strength behind it, it might not have done anything at all, but Kelterra crumpled to the ground in a heap.

Kas, the man, now looking like himself if it wasn't for the unshaven face, dirt and grime all over him, and being naked. He tossed aside the rock. Fresh blood dripping down from his mouth that smelled like Mikal's. He put a hand on Jan's shoulder and yanked her away from Ridell.

"G't y'r rotten fangs outta my love!"
