There was obviously hate in her voice, almost.. pain

"I dont want you following me to Silvermoon, got it?!"

The door swung open, slamming against the wall behind it as she went rushing back up the stairs, and hid on the dock, avoiding crew members

Kas blinked and just stared at the open door. He didn't think she'd get -that- mad. He slowly rubbed the back of his head and left his cabin. One of the crew stared at him as he walked past, not knowing what had happened. Kas just shrugged and went up on deck.

+"What do we do now Cap'n?"+

The man at the wheel asked. Kas took a deep breath, fairly sure Ridell was well on her way to Silvermoon by now.

"You've all been want'n to hit home ya?"

He looked around at everyone who was now paying attention and some of them were nodding.

"Well...set sail then. For Silvermoon."

There was a few cheers and everyone set to cast off again. Kas looked to the docks and whispered.

"Y'best b a'right when I get there love..."

Rid was half way to Tarren Mill, her clothes already dry even though she jumped in the water.

Her eyes were full of hate.. She didnt like him joking like that. As the last person who had nearly..

She pushed the thoughts from her mind, and continued on to Tarren Mill, she had to talk to someone there, then she could go to Silvermoon.

After she did reach it, and picked up several alchemy supplies off one of the Forsaken, she took a deep breath, and headed into the cold mountains of Alterac

Thanks to strong winds, and waves he was glad Ridell wasn't around for, Kas and his crew set into the cove along the shoreline. They anchored the ship making jokes about the broken blood elves on the not too distant spire, then went their separate ways.

Kas immediately went to Silvermoon. He hadn't been there in months, or maybe it had even been years, he couldn't remember. Lucky for him, the guards must have forgotten him, as he had no trouble getting into the city and set to work looking around for Ridell. He knew she'd be impossible to find but he hoped he'd be around enough she'd find him and try to kill him.

His biggest fear however, was that Janine would be in the city for one reason or another and run into him. That was the last thing he wanted or needed.

Rid was scaling the mountains, climbing over them instead of around, her hands were red, as was her face around her eyes, the only part of her face that wasnt covered.

She finally reached the warmer waters near the Undercity, going into it and relaxing her now worn out muscles, the slight shivers she had slowly fading.

Finally, she began to swim towards the Undercity, and past the gates, touching the orb that ported her directly to Silvermoon, the warmth rushed over her, and she smiled from it, as she quickly fled back to the shadows and snuck around the guards.

To her surprise.. she saw him, Kas, and glared. He was on his own, he came looking for her.. did he feel bad?

She quickly scribbled on a note, and then walked past him, the paper seeming to come out of no where, but it fell in front of him.

On it was written "How best, to find a shadow, then to search the shadows themselves". and by then, she was already headed towards the front gates, to her home

Kas was just looking lost and dumbfounded in the city. He could barely remember the streets or where anything was. Not even where the tavern might be. He sighed a bit until a piece of paper fluttered into his face. He blinked and snatched it, reading it.

"The 'ell is this..."

He looked around, unsure if it was meant for him or just a piece of trash. Either way he stuck it in his pocket. Maybe he'd find some clues in that Cutthroat Alley or whatever it was. He probably still had a contact or two there. Maybe. He hoped.

Rid was soon at her home, and almost the second she was in the basement, was at the vials, dumping out the herbs she had bought, checking them, before sorting them into several different jars.

Her mind wandered, she forgot about all that had happened even just for a little bit

It took him most of the day and well into the night but eventually he found the taverns and the rogues and talked them into some information. It wasn't much, just that no one's seen or heard from one of the shadier men in months. It wasn't much but it was enough. Kas set out again and soon enough found himself at the place that looked like the right place.

He slowly walked inside and looked around the room he entered.

Rid was so into her potions still, she was pouring vial to vial looking like a mad alchemist, her eyes glazed over yet she didnt spill a drop.

The cool night air was making the basement of the small building quite cool, but she didnt shiver, no goosebumps even rose on her skin, showing her discipline

Kas crept further in and not seeing anyone on the ground floor he started his way down into the basement taking each step slowly and carefully, trying to be very quiet. He grinned as he saw her stooped over her potions and called out.

"Ey love...wotcha do'n there?"

Rid dropped the two vials that were in her hand, suddenly being yanked out of her concentrative state, a dagger in her hand and pointed towards the doorway, but she saw it was Kas and her eyes went wide with surprise

"Huh.. You are determined arent you"

She looked down at the mess on the floor as she sheathed her dagger and sighed

"I was making some more poisons"

Kas smirked and realized how lucky he was to have found her. It was a shot in the dark and indeed was quite shadowy.

"Well y'kinda storm'd off and the like..dinna g't to say goodbye an all..."

He motioned to the mess on the floor.

"Is tha...eat'n through the floor?"

Rid looked down, and groaned

"Goddamnit.."

She muttered, grabbing another vial and pouring it over top, a putrid stench coming from the mix, which made her plug her nose

"So you went through the trouble of finding me, just to say goodbye?"

The stench even hit the stairs and Kas crinkled his nose as he sat down on them. He watched her and shrugged at her question.

"Y'aint gonna kill me...y'dun particularly like me...y'made it 'ere safe...why should I stick'round if I ain want'd?"

She began to clean up the mess, that had actually eaten a little into her floor

"I dont even know why you followed...really.."

She sighed, looking exhausted, her hair a bit of a mess, the bags under her eyes very visible

Kas watched her still, frowning a little at the way she looked, since despite it, she still looked sexy as hell to him. He crossed his arms and shrugged.

"Me either but I'm 'ere...Though I'll j'st leave if'n'ya dun wan me 'ere."

Rid looked around at the basement, aside from her little alchemy set in the corner, and the table and chair, there was nothing else. She looked at him and sighed deeply. She didnt know why she was about to say it

"Come on.."

She muttered, grabbing a small pouch off the table and walking past him, every step showed just how tired she was

"Will rent.. two rooms, at the inn"

Kas stood up and had to really suppress the urge to ask her why two rooms. But he managed it and followed after her. He also had to resist the urge to put his arm around her shoulders, or take her hand as he walked next to her.

"A'right...two rooms and y'c'n get some sleep and I'll keep an eye on ya, yea?"

She muttered, walking to the nearby inn, where a friendly male bartender greeted her and she nodded to him, tossing the pouch onto the counter. He didnt have to count, as she held up two fingers and he nodded again, but then thought

"Its going to be the same room, just two beds, we're pretty packed tonight, sorry dear"

She looked at Kas, then shrugged, and made her way slowly up the stairs, until she got to the first room, and basically collapsed into the closest bed, her body aching

Kas grinned at the bartender and cast him a wink. Which confused the bartender but Kas just grinned and followed Rid up to their room. He looked around at the small room and grinned even more seeing at how close the two beds were. He went over and plopped down on the one just beyond hers.

"Swaneh! Been long time since I slept anywhere this good! Not since Ja-..er...ne'ermind."

"He gives me a good discount because I take care of any problems in the inn whenever Im in town"

Her hand slid under her pillow, the slight flash of metal obviously showed it was to hide a weapon as usual

"Get some rest"

The wily captain sat up against the back of the bed and put his hands behind his head, just looking around. He glanced at her.

"Sure will...right...y'j'st sleep ya?"

He grinned trying not to make it -too- obvious he was going to just stay up and watch over her.

Rid opened her eyes, but they stayed a bit narrowed, looking at him

"Dont try anything like last time.."

Her hand gripped the blade harder, as she pulled a blanket up over herself. She still didnt know why, why she hadnt killed him. She had so many opportunities, and it seemed like he was just begging for it

Kas blinked a few times and looked over at the blanket bundle that she now was.

"I dinna try noth'n last time...I j'st dinna wan to wake y'up and have you stick me wit yer dagger so I grabb'd it first...yeesh..."

He blew at a bit of his hair that was trying to get into his face and looked up at the ceiling. No wonder she was so mad at him, if she thought he was trying to take her without her permission. He had no idea how he would get her to believe he wasn't as bad as they say.
